Abstract

The motor vehicle engine crankshaft has oil drillings interconnecting the main bearings (2,3,4,5,6) and the big end bearings (7,8,9,10). The drillings run in a straight line from the main bearings to the neighbouring big end bearings, are all parallel and lie in the same plane. The plane of the drillings may be the axial plane of the crankshaft, or may be displaced from and/or inclined to the shaft axial plane.
