Abstract

The sprayer has the disc (8) fed by a container (4) on the end of a bar (1), driven by a manually-operated inertia rotor (9). The rotor is actuated by the operative wearing the back-pack, using a lever handle (17) and a pulley and cable system (10, 21, 22). The handle can be pivoted at the top or bottom of the back-pack frame, and the sprayer can have a single disc on one side, or two discs - one on each side. The operation of the lever also drives a pump (16) which keeps the disc feed container full. USE/ADVANTAGE - A rotary disc sprayer, e.g. for liq. chemicals carried in a back-pack tank (14). More convenient operation, obviating mechanical or electrical drive.
