Abstract

THE SUBJECT OF THE PRESENT INVENTION IS A DOOR HANDLE INCLUDING A FRAME 1 SPECIFIC TO BE FIXED FOR EXAMPLE ON THE DOOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, A CONTROL PALLET 2 CONNECTED BY A ARTICULATION 5 TO THE FRAME, AND REMINDER MEANS THE PALLET IN ITS REST POSITION. ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION, THE FRAME 1, THE PALLET 2, THE JOINT AND THE RETURN MEANS ARE CONSTITUTED BY A SINGLE PART OF MOLDED PLASTIC MATERIAL.

Description

The present invention relates to a door handle comprising a

  own frame to be fixed for example on the door of a motor vehicle, a control pallet connected by a hinge to the frame, and return means of the pallet in its rest position.   The door handle according to the invention has the advantage of not having oxidizable elements such as springs. It is also low cost since one piece replaces 10 more. Finally there is no more pivoting axis so

  As shown in the drawing, the door handle according to the invention comprises a frame 1 intended to be fixed to a door, particularly a motor vehicle, and a control pallet 2 whose width is smaller than that of the opening 3 of the frame 1 and which has on its outer face a gripping portion 4. The entire handle is constituted by a single piece of molded plastic having a certain flexibility, the pallet 2 being

  connected to the frame 1 by a curved portion 5 elastically deformable, which constitutes an ar-

  - 3 ticulation. The pallet 2 has on its inner face an ear 6 connected at 7 to the operating linkage of the lock. The frame 1 has at its lower part a portion 8 which protrudes into the opening 3 and constitutes a stop for the pallet 2 limiting its stroke. Figure 1 shows the handle at rest before mounting on a door; the gripping portion 4 is substantially parallel to the middle plane of the frame. Figure 2 shows the handle mounted on a vehicle, in the closed door position. The pallet 2 has slightly rotated relative to its position in Figure 1 so that the curvature of the part 5 has increased and the pallet exerts on the linkage which is

  hitched in 7, an effort eliminating the possible games.

  To open the door, the operator exerts traction on the pallet 2, using its gripping portion 4. The pallet pivots, the part 5 playing the role

  hinge, and comes at the end of the race to meet the stop 8 (Figure 3).

  When the operator stops acting on the pallet 2, it returns to its position in Figure 2 under

  the elastic action of the part 5 and the return springs of the linkage and possibly the sercrure.

  In Figure 4, part 5 is reinforced by a blade

  spring 9 embedded in the plastics material.

  It goes without saying that the present invention should not be considered as limited to the embodiment described and shown, but covers, on the contrary,

all variants.

claims   1. Door handle comprising a frame (1) adapted to be fixed for example on the door of a motor vehicle, a pallet (2) controlled by a joint (5) to the frame, and means of recall the pallet in its rest position   characterized in that the frame (1), the pallet (2), the hinge and the return means are constituted by a single piece of molded plastic material.   2. Door handle according to claim 1, characterized in that the pallet (2) is connected to the frame (1) by a curved portion (5) sufficiently thin to be elastically deformable and thus constitute both articulation and resilient return means.   3. Door handle according to claim 2, characterized in that the pallet has on its inner face a gripping portion (4) whose average plane is at rest substantially parallel to the average plan of supervision (1).   4. Door handle according to one of the claims 2 and 3,   characterized in that the curved portion (5) is forced by a leaf spring (9).   5. Door handle according to one of the claims 2 to 4,   characterized in that the frame (1) has at its lower part a portion (8) which projects into the frame and forms a stop for the pallet (2).
