Electromagnetic measurement system for converting small displacements into proportional electrical signals, in particular for measuring macroscopic and microscopic profiles of surfaces, with a needle connected to one end of a piezoelectric crystal whose signal voltage is applied to an amplifier and to an indicator apparatus. The needle 1 is fixed to a lever which, in order to protect the needle, is fixed onto a casing 8 with elastic suspension.
