Abstract

The present invention relates to a protection device for a car radio set mounted on a motor vehicle equipped with an alarm siren. This device is characterised in that the front panel 3 of the car radio set, carrying the displays and control knobs, is mounted removably on a housing 6 which is itself fixed to the vehicle, the members of the removable front panel 3 being linked electrically to the internal constituent members of the set, housed in a fixed housing 2, by at least one connector 11, and one of the elements of this connector is linked to the control circuit of the alarm siren 7 in such a way as to activate this alarm siren 7 when the front panel 3 of the set is pulled off, in the event of an attempted theft of the latter.
