Abstract

The invention relates to apparatus intended to monitor the correct state of the suspensions of ground vehicles and in particular of their shock absorber systems. The monitoring is carried out by the driver himself/herself from inside the vehicle. It comprises a device measuring the strains of the suspension springs exhibited between two turns 1 and 2 and comprising a spring system 3 which acts on a sensor 6. It constitutes an economic means for monitoring the suspension on board vehicles which can be implemented without dismounting essential members.
