Abstract

Device for decreasing the braking phenomenon due to the friction between the hull and the water and the suction effect caused by the structure of the hull. It consists, in the port and starboard heights, of a watertight pipe 1 into which emerge the non-return valves 2 fixed to the tubes 3 whose main part 4 is built into the structure of the hull 6 and whose lower bevelled end 5 emerges flush with the said hull; the lips 7 are arranged lengthwise under the waterline over the whole surface in order to contain and channel the layer of air.

Description

Planche I/I . fig I et fig 2 .
The present invention relates to a device for reducing the effect of braking caused by the friction of the water on the hull, and of the suction cup produced by the structure
The device according to the invention allows a hull fitted with the system to travel a much greater distance with a sail area and a hull of the same value as a conventional unit; and consequently a considerable saving of fuel to the engine
The system allows the reduction of the braking phenomenon, by the friction of the water on the hull, by interposing a layer of air, brought by aerators
The air it finds sucks and injected along the hull by the suction causes due to the system, and to the heavier consistency of the water compared to that of the air
I1 is given by way of nonlimiting example an embodiment referring to the drawings appended hereto
Plate I / I. fig I and fig 2. Starboard view of the hull in perspective (6) peddling the pipe (I) hermetic to the water and arranged on the upper part, intended to receive the check valves (2), preventing the rising of the water; and fixed to the tubes (3) provided for the transfer of air to the submerged part
The main part (4) of said tubes is inserted into the structure of the shell (6), their extremity nozzle ends in a whistle (5) inclined longitudinally towards the rear, their outlet flush with said shell; so as to cause the phenoimene to suck in air from the water and create the layer of air favoring sliding; to keep all the efficiency over the entire submerged surface, books (7) will be arranged lengthwise

Claims (1)

I Device for creating a layer of air between the submerged part of the hull and the water so that the friction braking phenomenon is reduced to a minimum, characterized in that it spreads bermetic pipe (I) at the top the water charge with the air supply into which the non-return valves (2) open to which c. fix the tubes (3) responsible for the transfer of air through their current part (4) inserted into the structure of the shell (6) emerging from the submerged part in the form of whistles (5) or the suction produced by the suction effect caused by the displacement of the shell over the water sucks in the air which is channeled through the lips (7) over the entire length
