Abstract

The invention relates to an artistic moving tableau system based on smoke and light. It consists of a transparent volume 1 into which the smoke is poured from a smoke machine 2. The smoke is activated by a heating system 9, dispersed by a cooling system 10 and propelled by a fan 11. These actions are all controlled by a servo-system 7. The moving smoke is lit up by a number of small colour projectors 8 operated via lighting controls 3. All the movements and all the lighting is managed by a microcomputer 4 which runs recorded programs 5 or is manually programmable through a keyboard 6. The system according to the invention is particularly intended for decorative purposes to be shown as a work of art in any public or private place after the manner of a fresco or painting. It will provide a stream of endlessly renewed animation as the light plays on the swirling smoke.

Le générateur de fumée, analogue à ceux utilisés dans le spectacle est à base de neige carbonique ou d'huile réchauffée. Il débite dans le tableau une atmosphère nuageuse contrôlée en débit par une électrovalve. La fumée étant à l'intérieur du volume est concentrée par endroits nar le réchauffement d'une résistance chauffante et dissipée à d'autres endroits par l'action d'un dispositif réfrigérant. Le mouvement de cette fumée est donné par de petits ventilateurs. L'intérieur du volume est garni de petits nrojecteurs de couleurs dont les intensités sont gérées par l'intermédiaire d'un petit jeu d'orgues d'éclairage.L'ensemble des mouvements : déplacement, concentration, dispersion de la fumée et éclairage, est commandé étectriquement par l'intermédiaire d'un système de micro ordinateur. L'accès aux commandes est manuel par l'intermédiaire d'un clavier puis enregistré.
