Abstract

Device for transmitting from irregular circular motion to substantially regular circular motion. The invention relates to a device which, in the case of a sprocket/chain transmission, consists in replacing the rigid toothed plate with a deformable plate whose peripheral structure, carrying the teeth, remains rigid, the deformation being only due to the flexibility or to the mobility of the spokes. According to the direction and size of the reaction due to the chain, the plate deforms bringing about an angular displacement as well as a misalignment of the peripheral structure with respect to the driving shaft. This initiative has two objectives: to cause the length of the drive radius to vary so as to compensate for variations in forces and to tend thus to regularize the rotational speed of the pedal box, absorbing the remaining variations in rotational speed of the pedal box.
