Abstract

A flexible adhesive tube exhibiting an adhesive wall over its whole outer surface 1, and a smooth and slippery inner wall 2. The packaging of such an adhesive is in the form of a roll 3, the tube being flattened and regaining its tubular shape when it is unrolled. Such an invention is particularly intended for the assembly of sheets of paper, cardboard or any other surfaces which are not subject to high stresses and possible relative movement of these surfaces after or during their assembly.

Description

 I1 is known to assemble two surfaces one on the other by means of tapes having a double-sided adhesive.

 However, these adhesives do not allow a correction of the relative positioning of the two surfaces, at the risk of damaging them.

 Be tubular adhesive tape, according 1'invention, allows the assembly of two surfaces one on the other, allowing a relative correction of these surfaces, during and after their assembly.

 Indeed, the adhesive tape is in the form of a roll, the tube being flattened and protected by a protective film.

 during debitage, its elastic properties restore its tubular shape, thus preventing it from sticking to itself, which facilitates its handling.

 After cutting a section of the adhesive tube, the user places it on the surface to be covered, then arranges the surface to be bonded.

 In the event of an error after application, the user will gently slide the eurface to be bonded, either to correct its position or to remove the adhesive tube by rolling, without damaging the assembly.

 Figure I shows a perspective of the flexible adhesive tape according to the invention, revealing the adhesive outer wall (I) and the sliding inner wall (2).

 The roller (3) shows the section of the flattened tube, the latter resuming its shape during cutting, thanks to the elasticity of its section.

 The non-stick film (4) placed inside the turn formed by the adhesive tube facilitates its cutting.

 FIG. 2 shows by way of example two lengths of adhesive tube during the positioning of two surfaces (5).

 FIG. 3 represents for the same example, the two lengths after positioning of the surfaces (5), still allowing a correction of their relative position.

 FIG. 4 represents four sections of adhesive tube, arranged in a lug to allow relative rotation of the two surfaces (5) around the point of convergence of the axes corresponding to the four sections.

 Figure 5 shows the four sections after positioning of the surfaces (5), always allowing a correction of their relative position.

 Be adhesive tape according to the invention is particularly intended for the assembly of sheets of paper, cardboard, or any other surfaces not undergoing significant stresses.

 It goes without saying that the materials used will be the same as those used for the adhesive tapes of known type (eg polyvinyl chloride or cellulose), as well as the adhesive fabrics, preferably synthetic, provided that they have sufficient elasticity to allow adhesive tape to restore a tubular shape after debitage.

 In addition, the thickness of the material must be proportional to the adhesive power of the tube, so as to remain flat after use.

 A method of obtaining such an adhesive tape can be obtained by extrusion, or woven in the case of synthetic fibers for example.

 As a result, the diameters, the thicknesses and the materials used for the production of such an adhesive may vary widely depending on the applications.
