Abstract

This device for stringing rackets, particularly tennis rackets, comprises a first and a second series of arms 4, 8 for coupling strands forming the uprights of the stringing, the coupling arms 4 of the first series alternate with those 8 of the second and are securely attached to a first crosspiece 1 mounted so as to be displaceable through the action of actuating means relative to a stationary second crosspiece 2 to which the arms 8 of the second series are securely attached. The said arms of the first series can be displaced in a direction transverse to the plane of stringing and the actuating means consist of off-centre members securely attached to manoeuvring members 10a, 10b which are arranged in the vicinity of the two ends of the first crosspiece 1, the said off-centre members interacting with recesses made in the two ends of the said first crosspiece 1 so as to permit the displacement of the latter relative to the second and so as thus to define a passage between the strands forming the uprights, for the stringing of strands forming the cross strings.
