Abstract

The present invention relates to a small place marker, whose face may or may not be decorated, as an artistic means of indicating the places of people around a table. It is made by employing a novel application of the smooth surfaces of ceramics, which have been treated to allow them to be written on with a felt pen and wiped off by simple manual friction, thereby being permanently reusable. It consists of one face 1 which is supported on a plane 4 at an inclination of approximately 60 DEG by means of supporting devices which are either integral 2, or separate. This face 1 has a functional shape contained within a circle whose height from the base 2 is a perpendicular 3 equal in length to half the radius of said circle. The support 2 is placed perpendicularly to the face 1 at a distance from the plane 4 equal to one fifth of the height, thereby ensuring ideal stability and perfect legibility. In addition, the treatment to which the ceramic is subjected comprises a high-gloss coat of porcelain enamel fired at more than 1100 DEG C, which produces a perfectly smooth surface.

Description

MINI WRITING PLACER FOR EERNsANENT USE
The present invention relates to a small writing desk intended title placed on a table to designate the location of guests. To date, there are supports for menus, or supports on which paper, cardboard, card stock, etc. are placed; but these systems have drawbacks, namely: difficulty in reading due to lack of vertical stability and problems with air movement, in addition, the use is unique.

 My invention, by its weight and its design, overcomes these drawbacks.

 This writing desk is composed of a plate, having a flat face, of geometric shape (square, round, triangular, rectangular, exagonal, etc.) whose maintenance is ensured by separate or integrated support devices ensuring the flat face a vertical holding slightly inclined towards the rear, this angle allowing a perfect vision of the face.

 The shape of this writing desk can vary and given its use, it can be presented, with the help of cutouts, under the appearance of flowers, animals, stars, clovers, houses and more generally of any ornamental motif.

 The support of said face can be constituted in other variants by a strip provided with a biased notch slipped into a slot at the base of the writing desk or of support of known type, metallic, wood, plastic or ceramic independent of the writing desk.

 This writing desk is made of ceramic decorated with oxides and coated with a brilliant white enamel fired at relatively high temperature to allow a perfect glaze of its surface. It is this result obtained which allows writing on the surface using a felt pen of current model and erasing it by simple manual friction. The vertical hold, slightly tilted back allows precise and rapid reading of the writing.

 The writing desk can be used permanently with a pen of current model and indifferent color thanks to a quick erasure by simple manual friction.

 It has the qualities of aesthetics and solidity of an artisanal product made and decorated by hand.

 Designed as a "place-guests" table, this writing desk can be extended to many applications: meetings, symposia, debates, seminars, conferences, business meals, weddings, banquets, identification of office staff, etc ...

On a round clay plate, a horizontal cut is made at half the radius (3), the cut obtained, glued on the flat side perpendicular to the face (1) at the fifth of its height with respect to the plane ( 4), will serve as a stop and allow a vertical holding of the assembly with an angle of about 600.

 The thermal and chemical treatment is of a current mode t drying, baking at 9800cri decoration with oxides, enameling by soaking and it is the 2nd baking at 11000C or more, which allows to obtain the finished product with smooth face.

 2 shows a view from 2 rear of the face-support assembly: the support (2) abutting in its center on the plane (4) to give ideal support to the assembly and allow perfect readability.

 FIG. 3 represents a profile view of the assembly with respect to the horizontal plane (4), the support (2) is glued perpendicular to the face (1, eB bua on the plane (4).
