Abstract

This apparatus consists of two vertical uprights 1 fastened onto horizontal crosspieces 2, 3, which are fitted onto crosspieces fastened to the wall, and this arrangement makes it possible to dismantle the assembly by means of a simple upward movement. A holding bar 5 located in the top part of the upright 1 is held by a sprung immobilising system, it being possible for this bar 5 to move along the uprights 1 in order to permit a wide choice of different heights when using the said apparatus. A stationary arm 7 is used as a beam when it is desired to use it for stretching exercises, and this arm 7 is connected to a telescopic arm 9 which makes it possible to hold it either in the beam position or in an inclined position which makes it possible to perform dorsal and ventral exercises. The two arms 7, 9 slide along the uprights 1 which permits adjustment in terms of the intensity of the work which can be performed. A reversible dorsal crosspiece 8 is provided, making it possible to perform all types of movements, particularly at the level of the shoulder blades.
