Abstract

The invention relates to a live tap on the side of a pressurised pipeline of the type with a spherical turning member, equipped with a turning member 2 securely fastened to a manoeuvring member 6 of vertical axis driven occasionally from above, by means of a long-stemmed key. In order to prevent vertical forces which may arise during the use of the key from repercussing on the shut off system, the tap comprises a cap 12 equipped with driving means compatible with the long-stemmed manoeuvring key which is securely fastened to the manoeuvring member but rests on the body 1.
