Abstract

The subject of the invention relates to a device for checking the validity of magnetic credit cards. It consists of an assembly consisting of an electronic circuit for detecting magnetic impressions 7 combined with a positioner element 6 using the card to open or close the signalling switch-on circuit 8, 9. It is intended to instantaneously check, at any location, the authenticity of cards presented for making any payment, to detect frauds arising from the absence of magnetic inscription on one face.
