Abstract

Hygienic instrument intended for cleaning the external auditory meatus (ear) by removal of cerumen. This instrument allows removal of cerumen by virtue of the morphology of the anterior face and of the posterior face. It consists of a stick 1 extended at each end by a curette 2 having an angulation 7 with respect to the stick. The curettes have two faces, a concave anterior face 6 and a posterior face characterised by a groove 3, two bulges 4 and one cuvette 5. Variants: single curettes, smooth posterior face; no or little curette/stick angulation.

Description

Hygienic curette for ear cleaning
The present invention relates to a hygiene instrument intended for cleaning the ears and more particularly for removing earwax.

This is usually done by mechanical means comprising a stick covered at its ends with cotton wool, which has the disadvantage of partially pushing back the earwax towards the bottom of the external auditory canal.

The instrument proposed here avoids this drawback while allowing better cleaning. For this it is composed
a rigid or semi-rigid stick (1) extended by a curette (2) at each end. This curette has an angle (7) open relative to the rod (1) and of dimension allowing its easy introduction into the external auditory canal. The stick (1) is thin and has a length of about 7 cm. The curette (2) has two faces; unc posterior side (fig. 1) and an anterior side (fig. 2) -.

The rear face has a depression (3) in the axis of the rod (1) which comes to die by flaring in a bowl (5), extending from one lateral berg to the other and occupying the lower part of this face. On each side of the depression (3) there is a domed (4) more accentuated towards the end. This ensures better deflection of the earwax towards the outside.

The front side has a more pronounced concavity (6) at the base. The edges are fine and polished and allow good curettage of the external auditory canal
In profile (fig.) 6) enentennially highlights the angulation (7) of the curette (2). The anterior concavity (6), the domes (4) and the bowl (5) described on the rear face. The material of the curette will be determined during industrialization. It may be embellished with an adsorbent surface. There may be curoLt variants: simple s without depression or bowl on the posterior side the angulation may vary with respect to the ale of the stick, or even not exist; the dimensions of the curette may vary.
