Abstract

Depilatory wax, which contains a mixture of the following products: pure colophony, granolite, beeswax, lanolin, titanium oxide and aqueous extracts of everlasting flower and calendula. Process for the manufacture of the abovementioned wax. Use in low-temperature depilation for very sensitive skins.

Description

 The present invention relates to a depilatory wax, especially for very sensitive skin, as well as its manufacturing process.

 Traditional depilatory waxes generally contain, for the most part, a derivative of rosin called "polygrale".

 The basic product used by the applicant is pure rosin which, apart from certain advantages, nevertheless has certain disadvantages.

 The object of the invention is to conserve the advantages of pure rosin (superior depilatory power) by eliminating the drawbacks which will be explained below.

 Another object of the invention is to obtain a depilatory wax which can be used at a temperature from 100 to 140 lower than the temperatures for using conventional commercial waxes.

 Another object of the invention is to use a wax based on rosin which is extremely effective, but particularly gentle on very sensitive skin, said wax containing products with softening, dermo-purifying, and anti-inflammatory properties.

 The surprising aspect of the invention lies mainly in the fact that the additive products mentioned above are aqueous products, and that, by definition, they are not miscible with pure rosin because they cause, in hot contact with rosin, a crystallization which makes the depilatory wax granular, sticky like chewing gum and therefore unusable.

 It was therefore necessary to find additives and develop a special formula and manufacturing process to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks.

 According to a first feature of the invention, granite, which is treated rosin, is added to the pure rosin in a proportion of approximately 10% by weight. The effect of granolite in particular is to avoid crystallization of rosin in the presence of aqueous additives. In addition, it lowers its melting point, hence the possibility of using the wax at low temperature, about 100 to 400 lower than that of conventional commercial waxes.

 According to a second feature of the invention, active extracts of plant having softening, dermo-purifying and anti-inflammatory properties are added to the rosin and the granolite, and in particular aqueous extracts of helichrysum and calendula, which give the wax the properties in question.

 According to a third feature of the invention, rosin, granolite and aqueous extracts of helichrysum and calendula, beeswax, lanolin and titanium oxide are added.

 In addition to the particular and advantageous properties already indicated above, it was surprisingly found that the complex wax thus obtained, also had the particularity of being wrapped in an extremely thin and slightly oily layer, which had the effect of '' avoid direct contact between rosin and skin, but at the same time allow a very effective uprooting.

 It is precisely in this thin and oily layer that we find advantageously extracts of helichrysum and calendula, as well as beeswax and lanolin with additive softening and softening properties.

According to another feature of the invention, it has been found, after multiple tests, that the most suitable proportions by weight, giving the best results for the purposes pursued, were those resulting from the table below, the figures given concurring obtaining a kilogram of wax according to the invention

Of course, these figures are only given for a preferential formula but they may vary slightly more or less.

 Finally, it should be pointed out that titanium oxide not only has softening properties, but also has bleaching properties; which allows, in any event, to recolor the wax at will, yellow, pink, blue, for example.

According to another characteristic of the invention, a new process is implemented which is defined by the implementation of the following operating phases, which guarantee the obtaining of a wax with properties in accordance with those previously listed 1 - Rosin and granolite are mixed in a carried container

 Furthermore, as will be understood, the titanium oxide having bleaching properties, the wax according to the invention can very well be used bleached (white) and not recolored.
