Abstract

The present invention concerns an improvement to binders of elongate products by means of adhesive tape. The binder comprises an arm 9 for guiding the tape, this arm allows the binding by pivoting about an axis 10; the pivoting of the arm is provided by an actuator 13 controlled by a foot-operated distributor 20. The control circuit 23 of the actuator, for displacing the arm from the open position to the closed position, traverses a safety valve 25, controlled by the bundle of products to be bound by the intermediary of a feeler 26. The invention applies more particularly to the binding of food products such as leeks.
