Abstract

The invention concerns an immediately usable metal type of fixing for glasswool panels. It is constituted by a length of about 32 cm of galvanised iron wire of 0 2.7 mm 4 which is formed by folding. It is rendered rigidly fixed to the supporting wall 5 by two blued steel points 3. When the insulating panel 2 has been impaled on three of these fixing devices, a washer 1 is placed on the portion of each fixing device which extends beyond the panel, and is then curved at 90 DEG . This type of fixing ensures a good holding of insulating panels, with a rapid installation not needing any preparation or time before use; resistance to load and to fire are also two strong points of this invention.

UTILITY
Attachment of glass wool panels and any other
soft insulating material, on vertical and horizontal supports

DESCRIPTION
This binding consists of a length of about 32 cm
2.7 mm galvanized wire, shaped by
folding (diagram n 1).

USE
1) The fixing is made integral with the support wall by two
2mm / 16mm long steel points; this on parpain and
reinforced concrete.

On other softer supports the length of the tips
will be free but always at least equal to 16 mm.

For a red brick support, use the joints at the
mortar to position the fixings' (See positioning

vertical, diagram n02).

2) The insulating panel is mounted on the three fasteners
and the ends of these are bent by hand
or with a tool, such as universal pliers, overview diagram)
It is possible to place a washer of 30 to 40 mm in
plastic material 2 mm thick before folding. This is not
not essential for proper support of the panel, but provides
better pressure distribution, especially on horizontal walls
zontales, and a significant visual comfort for the user.

BENEFITS
- No preliminary lines on the walls, often occupying two

- No drying time from 24 to 48 hours, before use
which is the case of fixings to be clipped.

- Quick installation of three fixings and installation of the insulating panel
at once ; which improves the quality of insulation by
maximum tightening between each panel of wool will see, because
that there is no longer a route to follow and the risk of discrepancies
& our insulating panels and reciprocal fixings.

- This attachment allows removal during work with
subsequent reuse.

- It is not flammable
- It is not oxidizable
- It authorizes the use of falls by instant positioning
tanned.

- Impeccable solidity

EXPERIMENTATLON
I am currently building my villa myself. I used
from the nylon glue fasteners for the installation of
my glass wool panels on vertical walls. I have
had a hard time getting me a box of 250 units of these
fasteners which proved to be very fragile from side impact.

Having failed to find enough of these fasteners, despite
orders and phone calls, to finish my isolation,
I imagined a fixation in my own way, not having the faults of the first mentioned and which turned out to be far superior in all respects. I was very surprised and what is more the price of
returns material of a fixation "PALFLEX" made manually in
about one minute is about 0.24 F (price calculated from
of the public price including tax of a roll of galvanized wire in
September 1982), against around 1.60 F TTC despite 10% of
delivery of a fixing to glue (glue not included of course).

I guess industrial folding should be easy and the
material cost at this level can be reduced a lot,
which prompts me to propose this new system.

1 - Metal fixing (4) for glass wool panels and other materials  soft insulators (2) characterized in that it is made integral  of the support wall (5) by two blued steel points (3) which makes it immersed  diat usable. 2 - binding according to claim 1, characterized in that the folding system  reliably authorizes sealing with steel and cala points on the  majority of materials used in traditional construction and all  particularly on concrete blocks. 3 - binding according to claim 1, characterized in that it is stainless,  non-flammable and non-deformable within the limits of normal use for  which it is defined.
