Abstract

The subject of the invention is an assembly constituted of a motor vehicle bumper and at least one element for mounting it onto the chassis of the vehicle. The mounting element has, at its lower part 7, the general shape of a gutter, the bumper has, at its lower part 2, an external shape corresponding to that of this gutter and, at their upper part, the bumper and the mounting element have, on the side which must face the vehicle, at least one zone which is hollow 6, or projecting 11, respectively, of corresponding shapes which engage in each other by elastic deformation of the mounting element.
