Surfactant is contacted with at least one glass wool of the insulation type, reduced to powder so as to obtain a stable compsn. after expansion. The method is used for preparing a cellular mortar in situ. It is used as a coating material and possesses a lower density and better thermal and acoustic insulation properties than like mortars of prior art.

Description

The inventior. concerns a manufacturing process, notaamel! in situ with cell mortar.

It also relates to new products obtained using this process.

Light mortar is a well-known product which is becoming more and more important, as a coating material in particular, compared to ordinary mortar. It has, among other advantages, those of having a lower density and improved thermal and sound insulation properties.

However, the current manufacture of lightweight mortars is not without drawbacks. Thus, for example, until now, the manufacture of ready-made lightweight mortars is done by incorporating in large quantities into cement and other mineral components, light products such as perlite, vermiculite, polystyrene; the expanded state, which are very expensive products and which do not always make it possible to obtain densities less than i, to the detriment of the technical characteristics of the materials obtained.

The subject of the present invention is a process for manufacturing lightweight cellular mortars with a density equal to 7 or less such as 0.8 - 0.6 0.4 which, to a large extent, is devoid of the drawbacks presented by the methods currently known and allows '' obtain new products with very interesting particular advantages.

The method according to the invention is essentially characterized in that before being transformed into light cellular mortar, suitable for stretching conformed to elements of use, the constituent cement preferably added with its conventional mineral ingredients, or even any other products suitable is mixed with at least one surfactant, at least one glass wool or rock wool, this set of bodies being dispersed within a gas type emulsion.

The method as described offers the particularity of being able to be practiced in current devices, according to simple operating methods, by unskilled labor, in any suitable place.

That is to say that it is possible for the first time to obtain, by the process according to the invention, ready-to-use cellular mortars of different density, we are no longer limited to certain densities as was the case previously. .

Finally, the inventive melon process. makes it possible to obtain reveterents shaped in cellular mortar in which the pores are closed, that is to say formed by closed cells. It is quite certain that such coverings have improved thermal and sound insulation properties compared to known analogous elements.

It is also evident that the coatings and the elements of the process according to the invention thus offer much less water retention and, by the same token, very good dimensional stability, which constitutes an indisputable advantage.

The method according to the invention can be implemented in different ways, the main thing being above all to ensure a very homogeneous mixture, between them, of the various constituents of the cell mortar and to obtain the smallest possible closed cells, may be less than a millimeter in diameter, in order to obtain the best characteristics.

In one way or another, we always arrive at the desired densities.

This ready-to-use mortar while having the shelf life of a conventional mortar, can also be poured into molds with the desired shapes for obtaining final elements of construction materials for example and, after a few hours sufficient hardening to allow handling. The elements it supplies have a closed cell structure and have good tensile and compressive strengths.

In addition, the use of mortar in spraying machines does not in any way modify its cellular structure and, because of its large tyxotropy, it can be attached to the support in great thickness in a single pass.

By way of embodiment, the invention will be described in more detail with the aid of examples below, which in no case will be able to limit so little that this is the scope of the said invention.

EXEMPLE 1
EXAMPLE 1
Density 1 of a dry mortar consisting of
115 kg of white cement
15 Kg of hydraulic lime
100 Kg of sand 0.3
50 Kg of limestone 0.3 / 0.7 added with the usual ingredients in such a mortar.

C1 est à dire résine, stéarate, methyl ethyl cellulose. C1 is to say resin, stearate, methyl ethyl cellulose.

On prend à cette formule
2.650 Kg auxquels on ajoute,
We take this formula
2.650 Kg to which we add,
0.100 Kg of glass wool type insulation and reduced to powder
0.250 Xg of surfactant
or: 3.000 KG
All the components are mixed in a kneader until the gases are released and the powder which dries immediately expands. This 3 Kg mixture is introduced into a kneader ot is 1000 Kg of dry mortar, the whole is kneaded for a few minutes and it is bagged in 25 Kg bags ready for use. To these bags are added, on site, the water necessary for mixing, to obtain a cell coating mortar of density 1.

EXEMPLE 2
EXAMPLE 2
Density 0.8
Take 4 Kg of powder produced as in Example 1 which is added to 1000 Kg of dry mortar in order to obtain the density 0.8
Density 0.6 we add 5 Kg of powder to 1000 Kg of dry mortar
Density 0.4 6 kg of powder is added to 1000 kg of dry mortar
It is noted that there is constant repetitivity of the densities and that the doses of product are tiny, 3 per 1000 for a density of 1 which seems unique economically compared to what exists.
