Abstract

The reel comprises two lateral cheeks (2,3) which rotate about a central axis and onto which is wound an electric cable (5), with one end having a male connector (7) and the other, fixed to one side of the reel, having one or more female connectors (10). To improve the safety of the extension cable protective devices are mounted on the side near the female connectors. The protection comprises two fuses (12), one in each conductor, and a differential relay (9) to provide earth leakage protection.
