Abstract

The self-regulating drip feed delivers predetermined quantities of water onto an irrigation zone using a semi-laminar and semi-turbulent hydraulic system. It comprises a circular labyrinth (8) in a concentric zigzag pattern (12,13,14), followed by a direct radial passage (15) connecting the periphery (17) to the distribution orifice (10). A flexible elastic diaphragm has one face (16') working against the labyrinth, and the other (16) against the water inlet (4). The base (1) of the unit can have a profiled nozzle (2) for insertion in the water supply pipe.
