Abstract

The sole of the ski boot has an upper part (9) that is made in a supple material that flexes along its length. Its lower part is in two pieces (10,11) and is made of an incompressible material. The two pieces are separated by a transverse slit (12) which allows the sole to bend during walking. When the boot is held in the ski safety bindings, the two pieces f the lower part of the sole are pressed together. This closes the slit and stiffens the sole.

Description

To allow immobilization of the ski boot between two safety binding stops, the sole thereof is transformed into a semi-rigid beam making walking difficult.

To facilitate this, various manufacturers have imagined rounding the sole lengthwise; shoes with integrated bindings as manufactured by LOOK. or KOFLACH for example.

However, there are various beam-shaped fasteners, the rigidity of which could, under certain conditions, take account with all the safety required of flexible soles of a certain type.

The present invention is characterized in that the sole of the shoe is formed in the upper part by a flexible material working in traction, lengthwise, associated in the lower part with an incompressible material comprising at least one solution of transverse continuity.

The present invention will be better understood in the description which follows: and with reference to the accompanying schematic drawings.

Figure 1 shows a section of a ski boot 1. immobi-.

FIG. 2 represents a cross-section in enlarged length, of the sole object of this patent folded upwards, that is to say in the natural direction of a walking shoe sole.

9 shows the upper part of flexible material working in traction. 10 and II two elements of the lower part of the sole composed of materials working on compression. 12 representing the continuity solution.

FONCTIONNEMENT
OPERATION
The flexible upper part of the sole allows it to bend in the direction of the foot during walking. The positioning of the sole in the beam-shaped safety assembly stiffens the sole by stretching the flexible part and pressing the incomprehensible elements against each other.
