Abstract

The connector (1) consists of a plastics moulding with a central, hollow tube (10) which has a fluted cross section forming four equi-spaced longitudinal ribs (11). The central tube has an integral cap (6) with a stiffening ring (8) and an outer ring leaf (9). The central tube (10) has a tapered lead (20) followed by two grooves (16,17). The fixing passes freely through the hole (4) in the first plate (2) but has to be forced through the smaller hole (5) in the second plate (3). The two plates are thus clamped between the stiffening ring (8) and the lower groove (16).
