Abstract

The shoe-heel for a handicapped person, consists of a main body (4) and a tread (5) which interlock. The main body of the shoe has a lengthwise groove (7), dovetailed in shape, which matches a lengthwise rib (6) on the tread. A transverse channel (8,9) extends across the whole of the heel between the main body and the tread. A movable tube (10) fits into the duct (8,9) and has a bar (11) extending through it on the two ends of which two splints (12) are fixed.

Description

The subject of the invention is a heel for a disabled shoe.

In a shoe, the most subject to wear is always the heel. Its replacement is certainly possible, but it leads to higher costs as the workforce in the field of shoe repair is increasingly scarce.

To facilitate the replacement of the heels on the shoes, or even allow them to be changed by the user himself, it has been proposed to fix the wear heel under the body of the heel, not by gluing and / or nailing, but by means of interlocking, in particular by giving dovetail profiles to two complementary zones placed respectively on the underside of the body of the heel and on the upper face of the wear heel.

This wear on the heels of shoes is particularly important in the case of shoes used by people whose walking is not regular, in particular by people leaving more or less dragging their feet on the ground. So it is with the disabled.

In the particular case of the disabled, the wearing of shoes is moreover often accompanied by the use of lateral splints intended to keep the foot in vertical alignment with the lower part of the legs. Means independent of the shoes must therefore be provided to secure the splints with the shoes.

The invention aims precisely to solve in a particularly simple way this double problem of easy replacement of the heels and of the fixing of the splints, in the case of shoes for the disabled. It has for its object, for this purpose, a shoe whose heel body and heel comprise a fitting system and in which - this fitting system is associated with a removable rod which, at the same time, locks this fitting and serves, by its two ends, as support points and attachment to the two splints intended for lateral support of the leg.

Figure 1 en est une vue générale en perspective;
Figure 2 est une vue en perspective éclatée montrant les divers éléments constitutifs du talon;
Figure 3 montre le talon en coupe transversale.
The invention will be understood moreover with the aid of the description which follows, with reference to the appended diagrammatic drawing representing, by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of this heel for disabled shoe
Figure 1 is a general perspective view;
Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view showing the various components of the heel;
Figure 3 shows the heel in cross section.

In Figure 1, (1) denotes the upper of a shoe with its outsole (2) and the assembly (3) of its heel. In the case shown, the rod (1) is of the upright type; but it is obvious that the rod could be of any other shape.

The originality of the shoe lies in the arrangement of its heel (3). This heel is in fact composed of an upper part or body (4) and a wear element (5).

These two elements are kept assembled in contact with each other by a dovetail system comprising a longitudinal rib (6), of dovetail shape, which appears on the upper face of the wear heel. (5) and which cooperates with a longitudinal groove of complementary shape (7), which is arranged in the body (4) of the heel.

To keep the body (4) and the wear element (5) of the heel in the assembly position and thus prevent the wear element from coming off when walking, out of the body (4), a transverse channel is arranged in the contact zone between the body (4) of the heel and its wear element (5). This channel consists of two complementary zones (8) and (9), arranged, one in the body of the heel (4), and the other in the wear heel (5).

The resulting channel (8, 9), which extends over the entire width of the heel, receives a tube (10) which is advantageously made of synthetic resin and which is fitted under conditions such that it cannot be extracted from itself out of its channel, but that its voluntary extraction is however possible.

This tube (10) prevents accidental separation of the wear heel (5) relative to the body of the heel (4).

In addition to this role of assembly means, this tube allows the passage of a transverse rod (11) whose two ends project beyond the heel (3) and are used for fixing the two splints (12), which have the role align the shoe with the lower part of the user's leg. In the case shown in the drawing, the retention of the splints (12) at the two ends of the rod (11) is obtained by immobilization between a shoulder (13) provided at each end of the rod (11) and a cooperating clip (14) with a groove arranged in the rod (11).

Any other means may however be provided to allow the connection between the splints (12) and the rod (11) which passes through the heel (3).

- le talon d'usureS5) étant amovible par rapport au corps de talon (4) peut être changé très facilement après usure; il suffit en effet, après démontage de l'une des attelles (12),d'extraire la tige (11) et le tube (10) grâce auquel est réalisée l'immobilisation du talon d'usure (5) sous le corps du talon (4); après enlèvement du tube (10) et de la tige (11), le talon d'usure (5) peut en effet être dégagé hors du corps du talon (4) par simple déplacement de glissement vers l'arrière;
- bien que le talon d'usure soit facilement interchangeable, il est néanmoins fixé de façon efficace sous le corps du talon (4), car la combinaison du système en queue d'aronde (6, 7) et du canal (8, 9) associé au tube (10) permet une immobilisation rigoureuse, à la fois dans le sens transversal et dans le sens longitudinal;
- la tige(ll), qui traverse le tube (10) constitue un moyen de fixation facile et efficace des deux attelles (12);
A disabled person's shoe fitted with such a heel has many advantages, among which it is worth remembering in particular the following
- the wear heel S5) being removable with respect to the heel body (4) can be changed very easily after wear; it is sufficient, after dismantling one of the splints (12), to extract the rod (11) and the tube (10) by which the immobilization of the wear heel (5) is carried out under the body of the heel (4); after removal of the tube (10) and the rod (11), the wear heel (5) can indeed be released from the body of the heel (4) by simple sliding movement towards the rear;
- although the wear heel is easily interchangeable, it is nevertheless effectively fixed under the body of the heel (4), because the combination of the dovetail system (6, 7) and the channel (8, 9 ) associated with the tube (10) allows rigorous immobilization, both in the transverse direction and in the longitudinal direction;
- The rod (ll), which passes through the tube (10) constitutes an easy and effective means of fixing the two splints (12);
- this rod (11) can be removed without affecting the good connection between the body of the heel (4) and the wear heel (5), it is possible to use the same shoe at will with or without the splints (12).

It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the sole embodiment of this shoe which has been indicated above by way of example; on the contrary, it embraces all of its variant embodiments.
