Abstract

The arrangement includes an output (15) which may carry the radio or the cassette sound signal, which is independent of the output applied to the loudspeaker. The signal applied to this second output is independent of the volume control setting for the loudspeaker, and is independent of the selection of radio/cassette made for the loudspeaker. This signal is used for headphones. An auxiliary amplifier circuit derives power from the main circuit and has its own volume control potentiometer and on-off switch. By selecting the positively biassed component of the radio signal, and the negatively biassed component from the cassette, a single cable may carry both signals from the output (15) to the auxiliary amplifier and headphones.
