Abstract

The joint consists of a spherical end (1) on a cylindrical shank (3). The shank fits into a split bush (5) of the mounting bracket (2) and is clamped by the bush clamping bolt (6). The shank has a helical groove (7) around it's periphery. The clamping bolt locates in the groove. When the bolt is slack, the shank can be rotated to raise and lower the ball end to the desired position, after which the clamping bolt is tightened.
