Abstract

A windscreen-wiper arm for a car comprises a U-shaped case (2) pivoting about a head (1) secured to a shaft undergoing reciprocating rotation. The case houses a spring (5) extending between the arm and one end of a rod (6), the other end of which pivots about an axis (7) on the head. When the arm is raised, movement is limited by the rod (6) bearing against the pivotal axis (3) between the case and the head. When the arm is lowered, movement is limited by the rod (6) bearing against a stop (11) which extends transversely between the sides of the case.
