Abstract

The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for supplying an electromagnet and for controlling electromagnets, and consists of a bridge of rectifier elements (D1-D4), a single winding (M) which is connected between the DC terminals of the bridge and is connected in series with a reduction contact (C2) which is closed during the driving phase of the armature of the electromagnet and is opened during the holding phase, and of a reduction resistor (R). This circuit arrangement is distinguished in that the reduction resistor (R) is connected between one of the AC terminals of the bridge (A1 or A2) and one of the terminals of the winding (M).
