Abstract

The lockable stop limits the amount, by which a sliding window (5) can be opened. It comprises a removable latch (1), engaging a block (2) which is itself releasably secured to the window frame (6), pref. by screws (7,8,9), and over which the glass pane (5) slides. The latch pref. carries two projections (3,4) which can be introduced beneath lips in the block and which are pref. held in position by a cylinder lock (10), extending into a bore in the block, when in use.
