Abstract

The protective case is designed to contain a burning cigarette (7), permitting the smoker to put the cigarette down in most places without presenting a fire risk or to place it within easy reach upon his or her person. It has a cylindrical tubular body (1) with a perforated area (2) and a closed base, the perforations being formed pref. by a fine mesh. The closed exterior may be decorated or incorporate advertisement, the front end of the cover being internally threaded to take a screw-in ferrule (5) securing a ring (6) locating the cigarette with its tip (8) projecting. The other end may be closed by an ash-collector (12). The ring may use bosses, blades or ribs to locate the tip, and a fire-proof perforated cover with spacers may be provided.

Description

 The object of the invention relates to a protective case for an incandescent cigarette.

 it is intended to allow a smoker to keep within reach of his hand and to deposit in all places, a cigarette started to take it back at a time.

 11 accessories are available to avoid spreading ashes when smoking a cigarette, but not cases intended to receive and keep an opened cigarette and then smoke it out of its receptacle, placed within reach, either by car either everywhere.

 The device according to the invention eliminates this drawback and makes it possible to keep a cigarette started in a fireproof case carried either in a jumper, or hung on any support.

 I1 is constituted by a capacity comprising an introduction opening, a spacer, an openwork sector and a closed ash collecting end.

 The case (Fig 1, 2) is constituted by a tubular, cylindrical body 1 comprising at its upper part an openwork sector possibly supplemented by a fine grid and a solid bottom 3.

 Its front end is provided with a thread 4 receiving a removable endpiece 5 hollowed out in its axial part, immobilizing a ring 6 stabilizing the cigarette 7 and keeping it in the axis of the case. This cigarette does not touch the walls and keeps its filter 8 outside.

 Rings 9, 10 hold a chain there which allows the carrying of the case in a jumper, for example or its attachment to such support.

 The ashes fall into the fixed or removable collector 12.

 The case can be placed anywhere without risk of damaging the surface on which it is placed with the incandescent cigarette.

 The smoker who retains the freedom of his hands resumes his cigarette as soon as he finishes the occupation which motivated the interruption.

 The ring or rings are placed either at point 6, or at such other spacing 6 ', in order to ensure the centering of the cigarette 7 by one or two supports.

 These rings may comprise (FIG. 4) spherical bosses 13, 14, 15, 16 or flexible strips 17, 18 or semi-circular supports 19, 20 made of any flame-retardant and non-combustible substance.

 According to the variant embodiment (FIG. 3), it is still possible to use in a frame 1 made of combustible material, such as a synthetic resin, a flame-retardant lining 21 or made of material such as asbestos or any other equivalent substance.

 This lining can be entirely perforated 22 or have a solid sector 23. Spacers 24, 25 allow the cigarette to be moved away from the wall.

 This case can use its solid surfaces 3 and 12 as decorative or advertising support.

 The small size of this accessory allows it to be carried in a pocket or in a bag.

 Put in a sautoir, it keeps the cigarette lit and prevents the projection of incandescent parts on its support.

 In all circumstances, the smoker can keep his cigarette started and have his hands free for the execution of any act, without being embarrassed.

 However, the shapes, dimensions and arrangements of the various elements may vary within the limit of the equivalents, as moreover the materials used for their manufacture, without thereby changing the general design of the invention which has just been described.

CLAIMS 10 Protective casing device for incandescent cigarettes allowing a smoker to keep within reach of his hand and to place anywhere, even on him, a cigarette started to resume it a moment later, characterized by a tubular body (1 ) cylindrical, comprising an openwork sector (2) preferably with a fine grid and solid bottom (3) forming a decorative or advertising support.  20 Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the front part of the case is provided with a thread (4) receiving a removable end piece (5) hollowed out and immobilizing by its screwing a positioning ring (6) encircling the cigarette (7) and now its filter tip or other (8) outside.  30 Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the rear end of the case is closed by a cap (12) forming a collecting ashtray.  40 Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the spacing rings (6, 6 ') comprise either spherical bosses (13, 14, 15, 16) or flexible lamellae (17, 18), or semi-circular sectors circular (19, 20).  50 Device according to claim 1 characterized in that according to an alternative embodiment, the case concentrically comprises a fireproof lining (21) fully perforated (22) or with a solid sector (23) and spacers (24, 25) .
