Abstract

The patient's seat is a chair with adjustable back and head-rest. This chair can be moved vertically and can be inclined so that the patient is decumbent. The operator's seat is in the shape of a saddle with an adjustable back, so that the operator can sit in a fixed manner. This seat can move vertically and rotate so that the operator can sit above the patient's knees, or behind the patient, etc. The operator's seat can include a control panel, which is movable, an orientable lamp, a safety device etc. The system is designed to give both the patient and the operator more comfortable positions.

Description

The present invention relates primarily to odontostomatological practice but also various medical, paramedical or even artisanal activities relating to the face or the skull of a subject.

It describes a new approach concept allowing modified Practitioner / Patient attitudes, such that spatial relationships take place in the context of better access and less fatigue.

In odonto-stomatology, as in other medical or craft specialties interesting the face or the notch, the current practice is characterized by the use of a FIXED station for the subject while the Operator turns around him. This position is, in general, a more or less comfortable "armchair" which, by the very fact of its presence and its size, forces the practitioner to difficult positions, the spine twisted, in search of suitable access. In front, this approach is impossible except in lateral situation and in oblique vision. From behind it is only possible thanks to an uncomfortable position imposed on the subject (decubitus) and hardly easy for the Practitioner more or less well seated on a stool.

The device according to the invention modifies the spatial data of the problem in the sense that the practitioner is FIXED and the patient becomes MOBILE.

The principle calls upon two complementary elements
The PRACTITIONER SEAT, a kind of elongated saddle, fitted with anterior "quarters" for leg joint and foot rests fitted (or not) with control pedals. An anterior console, which can be lowered and locked in the raised position by an electro-mechanical keeper, has, at its upper part, a control panel for the various technical components (ascent, descent, advance, retreat, return to "0" etc ...) as well only pressure gauges, function adjustment buttons, etc. This console is necessary given the operator's stability. Two lateral fins, retractable on demand, allow the support of the forearms during work and a diffuser, integrated at the front, adjustable, allows to illuminate the operating field by a "beacon-code" switching according to the height of the Patient and the intervention area.

The PATIENT SEAT is an articulated structure with a short, deep wafer to allow the legs to be bent at the knee joint. An apron, at the level of the hocks allows the supine position.

The attached drawings explain different positions and functions authorized by the device.

Access conditions are optimal and the physiological consequences of an off-center and standing exercise (well listed in forensic medicine) are largely eliminated.
