Abstract

The kaleidoscope has a cut out (3) allowing the entry of a user's finger, to rotate the chip holder (4). Two openings can be made, alternatively, facing each other, in the tube. The kaleidoscope can then be used by turning the chip holder by two fingers. The chip holder can be sealed and then filled with liquid, such as water, and a bactericide. The chip holder can be in two levels (5,10). The inner tube (6) holds the mirrors.

Description

The present invention relates to kaleidoscopes: apparatuses which, by means of a mirror device and through a rotating box containing small colored and transparent objects, create a multicolored and constantly renewed mobile spectacle.

In known devices of this type, the rotation of the box is often ensured by the sliding of a piece of cardboard tube (in which the said box is fixed) on another piece of tube serving as a sleeve (or groove) and itself attached to the body of the device. The majority of these devices reveal the following disadvantages during use
1) In the long run, linting occurs due to the friction between the two tubes and their play increases.

2) The assembly is too easily removable, or rather "detachable"
3) It requires the use of both hands to be used.

Other manufacturers have made the device impossible to dismantle by creating various crimping systems that are more or less random or expensive to manufacture.

The toy according to the invention makes it possible to avoid these drawbacks. A rectangular light of the width of a finger and long about a quarter of the perimeter of the tube is practiced against (for example) a "crimp-rouU". with this cutout the box containing the small colored objects is thus very easily actuated by a finger, while the support of the body of the apparatus being made, according to the individuals, by the thumb and one or two other fingers
Accidental disassembly is thus made impossible since the toy can either be glued and thus made non-removable or even removable at will by a screw system.

The four attached drawings are: 1/4 Is a side view 2/4 Is a transparent and sectional view 3/4 Is a side view of each of the three main components 4/4 Is a perspective view before the 'object
Drawing 1/4: On the main tube 1 terminated by a rolled-crimp 2 is made a slot (or light) 3 used to rotate the assembly 4
Drawing 2/4 In this same assembly is visible the housing 5 containing the small multicolored objects. Appears in 6 the secondary tube inside which are the three mirrors, they are protected from dust by the plastic cover 7 as well as by another cover 8 inside which a ring of paint 9 is made in order to conceal from view the three mirrors of the device. At 10 is a space (optional) intended to hide the small box of objects or protect it when it is filled with water and in It the frosted surface or surfaces intended to increase the light distribution of the toy.
