Abstract

The box is in book form and formed of two rectangular half boxes each formed from moulded plastics. One half fits inside the other to form an enclosure complementing the shape of a video cassette. The halves are coupled by a flexible spine (18) moulded integrally with the half rectangular boxes. A transparent plastics jacket (22) is welded directly to the peripheral edges of the half boxes (10,12). A space (30) is left between the spine (18) and the jacket for insertion of a label for descriptive or commercial purposes. The half boxes are formed from material of sufficient thickness to be rigid, providing protection for the cassette.
