Abstract

The heater reliquefies paraffin which has solidified due to cold weather in the flow passages of a Diesel engine. It has a reservoir directly connected to the engine cooling circuit in front of the filter. The paraffin circulates in the reservoir via a helical passage for rapid heat exchange. The reservoir can be connected by a conduit to the heating circuit for the vehicle cabin. The reservoir can have a cylindrical or spherical outer case.
