Abstract

The display piece for ear markings for cattle, consists of a pref. plastics bar (1) which has long slightly conical studs (2,3) regularly spaced out along its opposite sides. The diameters of the studs correspond to the internal diameters of fitments (4,5) on male (6) and female (7) plates. The plates are mounted on each side of the bar by being slotted onto the studs and slightly tightened.

Description

 The present invention relates to the field of cattle identification, in particular by means of ear tags, and relates to a display intended for such tags.

 Currently, the marking of cattle by means of ear tags is generalized, in particular for hygienic reasons, and, in the case of a large herd, also for rapid identification. This identification is most often carried out by means of male and female plates each carrying the same large number, and assembled together when placed on the ear of the bovine.

 These known brands generally crowd in bulk in a package, on the basis of a certain number of male plates and corresponding female plates, or in the form of bars comprising a series of male or female plates.

 However, the known packaging methods do not allow a rapid search for the two plates forming the mark, because the latter are not connected to each other. In the case of mounting plates of the same type on bars, rapid pairing of two corresponding plates is also very uncertain.

 The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages.

 It has, in fact, for its object a display for ear tags, characterized in that it is essentially constituted in the form of a bar provided at regular intervals, on its opposite faces, with nipples whose diameters correspond to the internal diameters of the assembly parts of the male and female plates, these plates being mounted, with correspondence of their number, in opposition on the said bar, by plugging on the nipples, with a slightly tight adjustment.

 In accordance with a characteristic of the invention, the nipples are advantageously slightly conical.

 The invention will be better understood thanks to the description below, which relates to a preferred embodiment, given by way of nonlimiting example, and explained with reference to the appended schematic drawing, in which FIG. 1 is a view partial perspective view of a display unit according to the invention, and FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view of the display unit of FIG. 1.

 In accordance with the invention, and as shown more particularly, by way of example, FIGS. 1 and 2 of the appended drawing, the display stand for ear tags I is essentially constituted by a bar 1 provided, on its two faces, at intervals regular, of pins 2 and 3 whose diameters correspond respectively to the internal diameters of the assembly parts 4 and 5 of the male plates 6 and female 7. These plates 6 and 7 are mounted in opposition on the bar 1, with correspondence of their number , by plugging on pins 2 and 3 with a slightly tight fit.

 The bar 1, with its pins 2 and 3, is advantageously made of synthetic material, so that it can easily be divided by rupture in order to produce a small batch of male and female wafers.

 According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, in order to achieve effective blocking of the plates 6 and 7, the pins 2 and 3 may advantageously be slightly conical.

 Thanks to the invention, it is possible to quickly dispose of a batch of ear tags, the numbers of the male and female platelets of which correspond, avoiding the tedious searches common to date.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the accompanying drawing. Modifications remain possible, in particular from the point of view of the constitution and the shape of the bar, or by substitution of technical equivalents, without thereby departing from the scope of protection of the invention.

- CLAIMS  1. Display for ear tags, characterized in that it is essentially constituted in the form of a bar (1), provided at regular intervals, on its opposite faces with pins (2, 3), the diameters of which correspond to the diameters interiors of the assembly parts (4, 5) of the male (6) and female (7) plates, these plates being mounted in opposition on the bar (1), with correspondence of their number, by insertion on the pins (2, 3) with a slightly tight fit.  2. Display, according to claim 1, characterized in that the bar (1), with its pins (2, 3) is advantageously made of synthetic material.  3. Display according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the pins (2, 3) are advantageously slightly conical.
