Abstract

This test rig is used to verify that valves, stopcocks etc. do not leak when under pressure. The appts. includes a structure supporting a plate on which the stopcock under test is placed. One of the two side flanges of the stopcock is clamped to the plate using three clamps pushed by three hydraulic jacks. A hydropneumatic pump connected to an oil reserve supplies the three hydraulic jacks (8). Another hydropneumatic pump connected to the water mains or to another liquid reserve pressurises the stopcock (1) under test. The control levers and associated manometers controlling both hydraulic pumps are grouped on a control panel. The test stand makes the tests easier and quicker.
