Abstract

The applicator for contact lenses is able to keep the eyelids open and place the lens on the eye, or to remove it. It has a pincer arm (3) which lifts under the action of a spring (5) to open the eyelid. It is adjusted by flexible adhesive pads (8). A pivoting arm opens the eyelids and holds them open. There is a sliding piston (6) for fitting the lens. At the piston end is a hollow grip (7) to hold the lens at the piston end by suction, or to free it.

Description

CONTACT LENS FIXER
The present invention relates to an optical device, ophthalmology, which allows easy handling of contact lenses.

Contact lenses are vision correctors just like spectacle lenses. # They are made of glass or plastic, of appropriate dimensions, for direct adaptation to the eye.

 They have the advantage over the glasses of being invisible, but their placement, or extraction, presents difficulties: it is necessary to keep the eyelids open, place this small disc on the eye, and center it correctly.

The apparatus according to the invention, and shown in the

It consists of a body I4 terminated in the lower part of a cup I5 to receive the contact lens in the event of a fall, a rotating claw I6 with flexible rubber casings I7, mounted on an axis I8 rotating in the body I4, and terminated outwards by a knurled operating button I9.

 Inside the hollow axle 18, there is the sliding piston 6 with its bulb 7 of FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 4.

The use of this variant is also very simple.

 After placing the contact lens on the piston 6 as above, we approach the device from the eye and introduce the claw I6, oriented horizontally, according to figure 7, between the eyelids, according to figure 5.

The claw is made to turn a half-turn, according to FIG. 8 and the eyelids ## open, according to FIG. 6. We then proceed as described above by acting on the piston 6 and the bulb 7.

However, the shapes, dimensions and arrangements of the various elements may vary within the limit of the equivalents, like the materials used for their manufacture, without changing the general conception of the invention which has just been described.
