Abstract

Cosmetic face pack and skin prepn is an emulsion contg beeswax (I), paraffin (II), and vaseline (R.T.M)(III). Pref it also contains a very mild disinfectant such as sodium borate (IV). A specified compsn is made from 750cc distilled or deionised water at 75 deg C; 15g (IV); 140g(I); 40g solid (II); 20g(III); 120g rice starch; 10g solvent for perfume; 1-2g perfume and 1-3g preservative. The compsn removes waste and epidermal degradation prods from the surface of the skin, and is esp useful for persons with skin disorders the treatment of which must be preceded by total cleaning of the epidermis. The compsn is free of solvents and soaps.

Description

 The object of the invention is a cosmetic composition ridding the epidermis of all degraded waste and epidermal materials, as well as of all toilet preparations.

 Water and soap can appear as necessary and sufficient products to prepare the skin for a hygiene and beauty treatment. But in use, we find that products such as the most studied soaps are, or not very effective, or irritating if their effectiveness seems real and sufficient.

Our skin, as we vulgarly say, or more exactly the epidermis, is formed at the top of the generating layer and takes the name of the living dermis. The cells that constitute it exfoliate from above as we age and form the epidermis which isolates us and protects us from the outside world. This dermis is not very permeable in spite of the pore orifices. Despite daily care, a kind of shield is formed on the surface of the epidermis and even penetrates the pores which it eventually closes. by waterproofing and suffocating our skin. This shield promotes sclerosis, thickens the epidermis and gives the complexion a parchment-like appearance. In addition, it prevents beneficial products from acting and keeps acne-prone skin in chronic sickness. however, just as well in puberty as at all ages, the skin requires hygienic care, otherwise the products of the sebaceous glands as well as perspiration manage to give off an unpleasant odor. at the same time the ducts of the glands and the pores can be engorged by fatty deposits such as the blackheads, of an unsightly and neglected effect. There can even be stagnation of staphylococci, which leads as we know, the formation of a multitude very unpleasant pink or white dots.

 It will therefore be necessary to rid the epidermis in depth but only by making use of natural products that a tiny amount of preservative will keep in a state of perfect effectiveness.

 To clean the epidermis it will be essential to first soften the waste and perspiration products with a composition which, in accordance with the invention will be devoid of solvents 3 and soaps. It will comprise, for a volume of one liter: 750 cm d distilled or permuted water, brought to 75DC, in which 15 gr of Borax or hydrated sodium borate [Na2 84 D7 + 10 H20), then 140 gr of Beeswax, 40 gr of solid ParaFFine and 20 gr of petroleum jelly which is an excellent fluidifier for clumps of fatty debris. We will add 120 gr of rice starch to maintain the stability of the emulsion. We will finish by incorporating into the product just described two grams of a perfume soluble as that which would be obtained by adding 1 gr of Menthol or 2 gr of deterpene Orange essence to 10 gr of solvent. To ensure good conservation it may be good to incorporate a preservative without coloring agent such as Methyl peroxybenzoate. Such a composition will thin in pro melter, without alteration of chemical composition, all the heaps of inert products suffocating the skin, both on the surface and at the bottom of the pores and in the folds.

This composition will be remarkably applicable to the periodic cleaning or exfoliation of the dead cells of the face, when it is proposed to apply certain health or beauty compositions. Its use will be particularly precious in people suffering from skin conditions, for which any treatment must start with a bare skin.

 1 -Composition of cosmetic scaling lotion formed of an emulsion characterized by the presence of natural fatty substances which are: Beeswax, Paraffin wax and Vaseline.
