Abstract

The servomotor comprises a housing divided into two press chambers by a piston a control rod. The control rod acts on a control valve for regulating the respective pressure levels of the two chambers. The resulting displacement of the piston from its rest position is used to bring the master braking cylinder into operation. The movement of the piston also operates a switch in the vehicle braking circuit for activating the braking lights. Pref. the switch is positioned in an opening in the servomotor housing and surrounded by a water-tight seal. The switch housing has a tubular extension surrounding the operating stem with a radial shoulder contacted by the seal. The switch is incorporated in the servo motor to cause the braking lights to be actuated immediately braking is initiated.
