Abstract
Description
NOUVELLES FORMULATIONS INSECTICIDES. NEW INSECTICIDE FORMULATIONS.
The present invention relates to novel insecticidal, nematocidal and acaricidal granular formulations and, more particularly, to chemically stable granular formulations containing as the active ingredient phosphoric, thiophosphoric and dithiophosphoric aesthers as stabilizers of addition or mixtures of adducts belonging to the family of polyoxyethyl amines and as carriers for solid substances.
Les esters phosphoriques, thiophosphoriques et dithiophosphoriques sont bien connus, et on connaît également leur utilisation en agriculture en tant qu'insecticides, acaricides et nématocides. Parmi ces esters, on peut citer les suivants: . "Diméthoate" [0,0-diméthyl-S-(N-méthylcarbamoylméthyl)phosphorodithioate];
"Malathion" [0,0-diméthyl-S-{(1,2-diéthoxycartonyl)-éthyl}phosphoro-dithioate]
"Diazinon" [0,0-diéthyl-0-(2-isopropyl-6-méthyl-pyrimidin-4-yl)phosphorothioa
"Terbufos" [C,O-diéthyl--S-terbtltylthiométhyl-phosphorodithioate];
"Disulphoton" [0,0-diéthyl-{S-2-(éthylthio)éthyl}phophorodithioate];
"Phentoate" [0,0-diméthyl-S-(alpha-éthoxycarbonyl benzyl)phosphorodithioate].Phosphoric, thiophosphoric and dithiophosphoric esters are well known, and their use in agriculture as insecticides, acaricides and nematocides is also known. Among these esters, the following may be mentioned: "Dimethoate" [0,0-dimethyl-S- (N-methylcarbamoylmethyl) phosphorodithioate];
"Malathion" [0,0-dimethyl-S - {(1,2-diethoxycarbonyl) ethyl} phosphoro-dithioate]
"Diazinon" [0,0-Diethyl-O- (2-isopropyl-6-methyl-pyrimidin-4-yl) phosphorothioa
"Terbufos" [C, O-diethyl-S-tert-butylthiomethyl phosphorodithioate];
"Disulphoton" [0,0-diethyl- {S-2- (ethylthio) ethyl} phophorodithioate];
"Phentoate" [0,0-dimethyl-S- (alpha-ethoxycarbonyl benzyl) phosphorodithioate].
The granular formulations containing said active ingredients supported on absorbent mineral substances have the disadvantage of having a low chemical stability with time, quite insufficient to guarantee a biological activity of the active ingredient.
In order to overcome these disadvantages, several solutions have been suggested.
Food Chem., vol. 10, 1962, p. 244-248).Among others, the use of additives capable of inhibiting the action of the component of a mineral substance; for example, the use of glycols, acids, polyglycols, alcohols, ketones and other analogous compounds has been suggested (J. Agric., Food Chem., vol 10, 1962, p. 248).
It has been found, and this is the object of the present invention, that compounds or mixtures of compounds belonging to the family of polyoxyethyl amines inhibit over time the degradation of the active ingredients fixed on mineral support, which makes it possible to maintain unchanged the insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal activity of the active ingredients themselves.
The subject of the present invention is therefore chemically stable insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal formulations in granular or pulverulent form, the active principle of which consists of phosphoric, thiophosphoric and dithiophosphoric esters on a solid support consisting of absorbent granules or powders used as carriers, characterized in that adducts or mixtures of the adducts belonging to the family of polyoxyethyl amines are used as stabilizers.
Lesdites formulations ont la composition suivante:
A - principe actif - i à 50% eh poids
B - stabilisant - 1 à 4% en
C - support solide - q.s.p. 100%. Said formulations have the following composition:

de carbone, et x + y est compris entre 0 et 40.The compounds which constitute the addition products or mixtures of the adducts belonging to the family of polyoxyethyl amines are tertiary amines comprising two polyoxyethylene groups attached to the nitrogen atom and corresponding to the general formula:
in which:
R represents a saturated or unsaturated alkyl group having 8 to 18 atoms
of carbon, and x + y is from 0 to 40.
Polyoxyethylated amines are compounds which are already well known but only for their dispersant, humidifying and adsorbing properties in polarography.
The main compounds constituting the solid support on which the active ingredient is adsorbed are granular and fibrous absorbent substances, such as, for example, bentonite, attapulgite, pumice, sepiolite, talc, kaolin, diatomaceous earth, colloidal silica and the like.
With the formulations thus formed, the chemical stability of the antiparasitic agents constituted by the phosphoric, thiophosphoric and dithiophosphoric esters increases considerably thanks to the action of the added polyoxyethyl amine.
In order to prepare the formulations of the present invention, the procedure is carried out according to the well-known principles of the formulation methods.
EXAMPLE 2 Influence of Stabilizing Addition Products on Granular Formulations
consisting of Terbufos on Bentonite
The procedure is as in Example 1, and with the same formula: 2% by weight of an addition product belonging to the family of polyoxyethyl amines of general formula is added to the latter:
consisting of a mixture containing 5% C14 + 30% C16 + 20% saturated C18 + 45% unsaturated C18 (this mixture will be designated by R1 in the following description) and x + y = 2, 5, 15; or consisting of a mixture containing 8% Ce + 7% Cio + 50% C12 + 16% C14 + 9% C16 + 5% saturated Cie + 5% unsaturated Cis (this mixture will be R2), with x + y = 2, 5, 15
To calculate the degradation of the pa one takes into account the quantity of
Terbufos initially, at room temperature, and after 7 days at 54 C.
The results obtained were recorded in Table II, above.
Working under the same conditions, comparative tests were carried out with samples to which monoethylene glycol and diethyleneglocyol were added instead of the polyoxyethylated amines.
The results of these tests were also recorded in Table II.
of Terbufos on pumice stone
The process is carried out according to the method already described in Example 1, to prepare a formulation based on the same pa but placed on a granular pumice support and using as a stabilizer the mixture of adducts R1 with x + y = 5.
The finished product has an initial Terbufos titer of 1.95%.
A comparison test is carried out on a sample having an initial Terbufos content of 2.08%, but to which the stabilizer has not been added. After 7 days of storage at 54 C, the p.a. content is only 0.91%, which corresponds to a loss of 56.2%.
of Turbufos on sepiolite-
By operating as in Example 2, a formulation having the same active principle is prepared, but on a granular sepiolite support and using as stabilizer 4% of the mixture of adducts R2 with x + y = 5.

R2 et divers x+y, pendant 7 jours et à 54 C.EXAMPLE 5 Qualitative Evaluation of Terbufos Degradation at 2% on Bentonite
depending on the amount of stabilizing addition product
The stability tests are subjected to 1 g of granular bentonite formulation containing 2% by weight of Terbufos and various amounts of R1 and
R2 and various x + y, for 7 days and at 54 C.
After this test period, the formulation is treated with CH 2 Cl 2 to extract the pI, and a fraction of this solution is subjected to thin layer chromatography (TLC) in order to quantitatively evaluate the rate of degradation of pI. at. depending on the amount of stabilizing adduct.
10 μl of the solution of p.a. is then deposited on a "Bakerflex" -silicone gel chromatography plate IB2 0.2 mm thick.
As a reference, an equal amount of non-formulated Terbufos is deposited.
The elution mixture consisted of 97% n-hexane and 3% ethyl acetate (by volume), and as a developer, a hydroalcoholic solution of PdCl 2 was sprayed.
EXEMPLE 12 I Activité biologique sur Agroti ypoilon

EXAMPLE 12 I Biological Activity on Agroti ypoilon
We take an earth of medium composition, we divide it into packages of
10 kilos and put them in plastic boxes (38 x 29 cm x 19 cm); this soil is treated by uniformly distributing on its surface granular formulations based on terbufos on pumice and on bentonite and is harrowed so as to evenly distribute the compounds to be studied, at the rate of 10 kg / ha of active substance, then they are sprinkles.
At successive time intervals, the soil is infested with Agrotis ypailon larvae of the last age (5th age) and fed with maize seeds.
By way of comparison, untreated soil is infested under the same conditions as larvae of the same age. Six days after infection, the percent mortality of the larvae is compared to the mortality rate of the control larvae (larvae distributed in the untreated soil).
