Abstract

The fuel economiser has a manual regulator which is located between the carburettor and the inlet pipe. The economy is made by rotating the regulator to a fixed position. A secondary economy is made automatically under the high engine rating suction conditions. In this case the air fuel mixture passes in a serpentine path over a number of baffles which improve the mixing of the air and fuel. The automatic device has a cone fitted inside a collar. The cone has a number of side windows. The cone has an internal return spring.
