Abstract

The ear tag is for animals such as cattle, and has a flexible elastic plate with a hole, and a second such plate with a tubular bar fixed to one side. At the free end of the latter is a pad of diameter larger than that of the hole. A hard tapering tip extends the free bar end. This tip (9) is fixed at the base to a skirt (10) fitting over the pad (7) on the bar end. The bar can have a shoulder (6) at an intermediate point, the distance between the pad and the shoulder being equal to the thickness of the first plate (1) at the area around the hole (2).
