Abstract

The instrument comprises a casing with an upper and lower parts housing an indicater and the measuring detector. The side protrusions carry the electrical connections which mate with connections on ribbed sections of an adaptor unit. This unit contains a transformer or measuring bridge to suit the physical parameter measuring system. Shunt or series resistors in this unit allow suitable scale sensitivities to be obtained. The matching unit also allows electrical supply connections to be made. The upper part of the case is shaped like a parallelepiped and is partly formed, on its surface, of a translucent cover which enclosed a display. The measuring appts. forms a basic module to which it is possible to add adaptation modules.
