Abstract

Marine culture support for raising shellfish, fish, crustaceans etc. described use of frames covered with heat-shrunk plastic films. This addn. describes addn. forms for such structures specifically (1) sheet thermoformed into a ribbed or corrugated form and then welded or stapled to a supporting frame; (2) blister film held in parallel layers by spacer bars, or rolled to form an open coil, and tethered to wts. on the sea bed; (3) film supported as flat, serpentine layers by spacer bars having convex crests and concave bases to grip the film when supported by tie bars set in a frame on the sea bed. Opt. the borders of the film are reinforced by struts of polypropylene.

Description

Patent No. 7832220 describes a modular assembly of variable volume welded by wrapping in a heat-shrinkable plastic film, and especially intended for coastal restocking.

 A modification of the first addition certificate NO 7924588 consisted in using the capture space located between the building material and the film which itself becomes a trap for shellfish larvae, crustaceans or fish.

The present modification aims to systematize this innovation, using different plastic films on various supports.

 Another aim of this present modification is to create a range of collectors suitable for calm waters or areas exposed to strong currents, and always under the most economical conditions of realization.

Claims (15)

CLAIMS.  1. Spat collector, characterized in that it includes a structure composed of non-degradable materials and a plastic film. 2. Spat collector according to claim 1, characterized in that the collector film is thermoformed with a single ply of longitudinal or transverse ribs, heat-sealed or stapled to a frame, a variant consisting of strips of film welded or stapled to it same frame. 3. Spat collector according to claim 1, characterized in that the plastic film is microbubbled, therefore floating in parallel sheets fixed at the ends to piles, relayed from time to time by split transverse bars and enclosing the film, these same bars being stowed and ballasted at the base, keeping the film parallel to the ground and between two waters.  4. Spat collector according to claims 1 and 3, characterized in that the plastic film is heat-shrunk or thermoformed (may even have the appearance of a mesh), floating or non-floating, in the latter case being buoys fixed in the extension of the ballast lines.  5. Spat collector according to claims 3 and 4 characterized in that the anchor-buoy system is replaced by vertical piles. 6. Spat collector according to claims 3 and 4, characterized in that the plastic film is reinforced over its entire length by ropes preferably made of heat-sealed polypropylene.  7. spat collector according to claim 1, characterized in that a structure for strong current is composed of a base surmounted by four perpendicular beams on which come to fit horizontal bars, two extreme blocking bars wedging the assembly under pressure of a nut or a fixing bar.  8. Spat collector according to claim 7, characterized in that the horizontal bars are curved at the base and at the top, interlocking with construction elements, which stretches the film during a force blocking. 9. Spat collector according to claim 1, characterized in that the film support has a spiral grooved base allowing the introduction of the film on edge, a fixed axis welded on this base, and a spiral grooved cover blocking the movie. - 10. Spat collector according to claim 1, characterized in that the film is wound on itself, the cavities created by thermoforming keeping each sheet equidistant from that which covers it.  11. Spat collector according to claims 9 and 10, characterized in that the roller is introduced into a yoke composed of longitudinal bars and circles equipped with fixing eyelets for slings, the assembly being held between two waters by a ballast / buoy system.  12. Spat collector according to claim 10, characterized in that the wound film is dotted with removable or fixed intermediate elements, keeping each film equidistant from that which covers it. 13. Spat collector according to claims 9, 10, 13, characterized in that the sensor roll or rollers are immersed in a weighted box. 14. Spat collector according to claim 1, characterized in that the structures are cumulative, one ribbed in one direction, the other ribbed in the other direction, staggered. 15. Spat collector according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises any thermoformable, stretchable, heat-shrinkable film, in lnsec tion or extrusion, adaptable to the collection and protection of fish and crustacean larvae, and also to their breeding.
