Abstract

The parasite killer injects steam directly into pre-loosened soil. The steam is injected via perforations in the shell of a hollow, sub-soil plough share. The steam can be supplied by a conventional steam generator, which either forms part of the same packed unit as the plough share, or is a separate unit. Tractor-mounted, the plough share can pref. be adjusted for depth of operation in the soil. The unit may comprise several plough shares injecting steam at different depths.
