Abstract

The dressing is in the form of a half-shell in order to minimise the contact area with the wound. The size and shape of half-shell can vary to suit the size and type of wound. The sides of the shell are covered with gauze or net on the inside or the outside and this may be impregnated with an antiseptic. The shell can be perforated to ventilate the skin and can be mounted on a strip of gauge on its open face if direct contact with the healing area is to be avoided.

Description

The present invention relates to dressings used for the protection and healing of various wounds on the body.

 The dressings currently marketed, whatever their kind, particularity, or quality, are always in direct contact with the wound or wounds of any kind or origin.

 They thus present by this contact, the major drawback of very often being welded partially or entirely, with the first scarring commonly called crbutew which will therefore be torn off, following the exchange of said dressing, causing the wound to bleed, causing pain, thus delaying the final scarring by always altering it further.

The proposed dressing eliminates most of these drawbacks, due to its lack of contact with the wound.

 It thus eliminates the irritation created by its friction on the wound allowing the first scarring or droppings to remain in place, to shorten the healing time and to obtain the slightest scar or final trace.

 The dressing, object of the invention comprises an appropriate half-shell, and made in a selected component and already used in the medical field according to the characteristics necessary for this use.

 The shape and dimensions of the half shell can also vary widely depending on the case considered.

It can be between more or less perforated so as to allow an intense or reduced air circulation.

 The openings can be masked by an appropriate inner or outer gauze or cloth1 and fed with a selected antiseptic, not allowing impurities and harmful external agents, to pass through the dressing and affect the wound.

 The base of the half shell is a crown around the wound.

 Its shape and dimensions seen from above, will be chosen according to the needs.

 The shape of the base or crown seen from the side, can be flat, concave or convex, depending on where the wound is located, so as to match the shape of the body at this location.

 The base of the half shell may, as appropriate, receive a gauze or canvas protection to improve contact around the wound.

The roof of the half shell can be perforated or not, depending on the use, and will in any case receive the part of the dressing, (adhesive).

 The height of the half shell will be chosen according to the needs, but in most cases requires only a few millimeters, thus making the presence of the dressing under a garment more discreet.

 The dressing, object of the invention, should be able to be used in many cases, bringing the aforementioned and new improvements of such manufacture.
