Abstract

The magnetic flux or flux source is for general medical treatment and for biological use. The field generated is 'polarised' by a variety of non-magnetic materials including copper, aluminium, polarised glass etc. The field can be alternating, direct or interrupted direct and is created by a permanent magnet or by a coil (2) wound over a ferro-magnetic core (1). The power supply wiring (3) is brought into one end of the coil housing (4) and the polarising filter (9) or filters are mounted at the remaining end across the line of the core. The field can be transmitted to a remote head by a flexible bundle of fibres of animal or vegetable origin such as hemp. The bundle is sheathed in a screen preventing flux leakage and is terminated in a rigid cylinder closed by a wood or similar material end plug.

Description

The main patent has # been described with a method and an apparatus for the treatment of a living organism by a magnetic flux. The essential characteristic of the invention, as defined in said patent, was that between the organism and the source of the direct or alternating magnetic flux, a light polarization device was interposed, so that it was passed through by at least a fraction of the flux applied to the body. Experiments have indeed demonstrated, and others have confirmed since then, that the presence of such a device favorably modifies the effects of magnetic flux on the organism. This modification of the action of the magnetic field looks, at least in appearance, to that which can be observed in the case of light proper, and it is for this reason that the expression "polarized" magnetic field was used in the main patent, being of course that it was a convenient designation, but which did not necessarily imply the existence of a polarization in the proper sense of the word.

The present addition aims to extend the field of the main patent to the case of all devices, even opaque to light, capable of being traversed by a magnetic flux, but having transverse thereto a molecular or crystalline orientation, such as in particular that highly laminated non-magnetic metal sheets. Tests have indeed demonstrated that these devices behave vis-à-vis the flux like those polarizing light energy, which is moreover perfectly logical, since ultimately they are transparent vis-à-vis magnetic radiation. It has even been found that the rolled metals give in this respect results superior to those of the polarold glasses used for light and proposed in the main patent.

Of course, the devices provided according to the addition can be used exactly as described in the main patent, that is to say for example in the form of a plate arranged opposite the flux emitting pole of a permanent magnet or of a electromagnet supplied with direct current or alternating current. As in the main patent, it is possible to provide for several successive plates suitably oriented with respect to one another, the axes of orientation (direction of rolling) being parallel or offset.

In accordance with another characteristic of the present addition, the method and the apparatus are applied not only to living organisms, but also to biological products originating from such organisms, with a view in particular to their examination, the carrying out of reactions or modifications. in some of their components, etc ...

Another application targeted by this addition consists in using the magnetic flux modified by crossing a device with molecular or crystalline orientation, transparent or opaque to light, as a catalyst for certain chemical reactions sensitive to the effects of magnetic radiation. .

With regard to its construction, the apparatus according to the invention can be established in the manner indicated in the main patent. If we consider for example the embodiment according to fig. 1 of the said patent, it is sufficient to assume that the po laroid glass 9 has been replaced by a plate of a highly laminated non-ferrous metal, such as copper, aluminum or alloys based on one or the other. other of these metals. Of course in the case of examining biological products or catalyzing chemical reactions, it is possible to envisage constructive forms which are more appropriate with, if necessary, supports adjustable in orientation or in spacing, etc.

It should moreover be understood that the foregoing description has been given only by way of example and that it in no way limits the field of addition from which one would not depart by replacing the execution details described by all other equivalents. Thus, although we have insisted on the use of rolled metals for the production of devices to be placed on the magnetic flux path, we could just as easily use opaque crystals behaving in a similar way.
