Abstract

The elastic deformable sleeve valve (9) fits inside a solid housing (2) so that flanges (11,12) in the sleeve fit into recesses (7,8) in the flanges (3,4) of the housing (2). The sleeve is deformed by the action of a pressurised fluid passing through the orifice (6) in the housing (2). The thickness of the flanges (11,12) in the sleeve is greater than the depth of the recesses (7,8) in the housing flanges (3,4) forming a seal when the valve is bolted to a mating flange.
